Patriot Golf Day ( Military Appreciation Day)

Once again, on Labor Day, Sawgrass will be celebrating “Patriot Golf Day” to honor the fallen soldiers from the Iraq and Afghanistan War. It has become our tradition at the club to invite the local servicemen and women to visit for a round of golf on Labor Day. Every year this event gets bigger and bigger with over 150+ playing in 2014! All players enjoy a delicious lunch and receive an official “Sawgrass Patriots Day Hat”!

The Foundation solely supports families of fallen soldiers who seek scholarships for their spouses and children’s educational needs. The campaign has resulted in over 7,500 scholarships across the country since 2008.

Honoring their sacrifice; educating their legacy! Changing lives through the game of golf!

We are so thankful that the membership allows us to offer this unique opportunity to our local military. They are so appreciative and look forward to playing each year.
